Calendula oil is derived from the vibrant marigold flower, it has been cherished for centuries for its incredible skincare benefits. Which is why it is one of the hero ingredients in the Everything Skin Range.

This gorgeous little yellow flower’s petals contain five compounds- Oleanic Acid, Lupeol, Quercetin, and 2 types of Antrim.

These compounds have been scientifically studied and are known to provide antioxidant protection, soothe skin, calm inflammation, heal wounds, and speed up recovery from acne.

  1. Soothing and Anti-Inflammatory:

Calendula oil is packed with anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent choice for soothing various skin irritations. From redness and rashes to acne and eczema, this golden elixir helps calm and reduce skin inflammation, promoting a more even and radiant complexion.

2. Gentle and Nourishing:

This beautiful natural oil is gentle enough for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Its lightweight texture won’t clog pores, making it perfect for acne-prone individuals as it helps balance sebum production and fights off acne-causing bacteria. The oil is also rich in essential vitamins and nutrients that nourish the skin, promoting a healthier and more youthful appearance.

3.  Promotes Healing:

Calendula oil accelerates the healing process of wounds from minor to major skin injuries due to its cell -regenerating properties. It is also extremely healing for psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. Applying it topically can help minimize the appearance of old scars and often completely repair new scars as well as promoting faster recovery from cuts, burns, and acne.

  1. Hydrates and Locks in Moisture:

Dry and or dehydrated skin can benefit greatly from calendula oil’s moisturizing abilities. It helps replenish the skin’s moisture barrier so is perfect for use after your skin has had intensive facial treatments done such as microdermabrasion, micro needling, or chemical peels. Calendula helps keep the skin soft, supple, and well-hydrated throughout the day.

5. Anti-Aging Powerhouse:

With its potent antioxidant content, calendula oil combats free radicals that contribute to premature aging. And because it stimulates cell renewal – regular use can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.

  1. Anti-microbial:

Calendula oil contains natural antimicrobial compounds that make it effective in preventing and treating infections. These properties make it an amazing oil to use for people suffering from acne-prone skin – as the oil helps combat the growth of bacteria on the skin’s surface and reduces the risks of breakouts.

  1. UV protection:

The SPF of Calendula oil in a cream formulation exhibited good activity (SPF = 14.84 ± 0.16). The findings of this study suggested that calendula oil cream can be used to protect the skin from UV radiation in the form of a sunscreen cream and to maintain the natural pigmentation of the skin. Although these are early studies – this is extremely promising and exciting as we love a natural sunscreen which also doubles up as a skin treatment!

This is why you can find calendula oil in the Everything Skin Cream, Everything Skin oil and Everything Skin Balm!

Our calendula oil is organically grown locally in the pristine Southern Highlands of NSW– and infused for 6 weeks in organic extra virgin olive oil for an added injection of skin goodness
