Hello & Welcome!

Hello! I am Yvette van Schie, your ‘Ethical Beauty Expert.’

For over 30 years (actually 39 years now!) I have worked in the beauty industry as a (highly trained )holistic beauty therapist, nutritionist, makeup artist,  beauty writer and product developer.

I have healed more skins holistically than most people have had hot dinners (or so my friends and family say!). I am passionate about healing people’s skins permanently through organic, natural, eco skincare, nourishing food, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Beauty comes from within, it is all about glowing skin through amazing health with the help of high quality, ethical natural skincare which feeds your skin from without! (Did you know that 90% of what you apply to your skin enters your system? And then into your organs – affecting your brain, your heart and your hormones?

I love helping people find the correct modalities to help their skin reach an ultimate youthful glow which does not include botox.

I enjoy sharing top beauty therapists, personal trainers, health gurus, cosmetic surgeons and natural practitioner’s wellness and beauty secrets. I reveal information which you should, but do not know about, breaking the barriers between those who know and everyone else.

I unveil the lies that the beauty and health industry tells us to keep us spending money on foods and skincare which in actual fact are shortening your life, whilst you think you are living well.

We only have one skin – so why not one cream?

The Ethical Beauty Expert Everything Skin Cream

About the Everything Skin Range

I started the Ethical Beauty Expert originally as an online Zoom skin advisory service and beauty blog – but found that I couldn’t find the perfect skincare for my client’s skins which would feed the skin, was clean, organic, affordable, ethical and vegan. Most “organic” skincare products are 70% water, bottled in plastic and contain chemical preservatives, toxic fragrances or nasty binders because they are full of water – wasted space in your bottle or jar. The Everything Skin Range contains no water, no binders, no preservatives – they are all 100% active ingredients only.

I was making an ointment for my sculptor/blacksmith husband’s hands which he also had been using on his face – his skin was looking better, stronger and healthier than mine!

So, I reformulated the product to make it more active and lighter (although it is still buttery – not watery – no water taking up space in these products!I found I was using it everywhere as it was healing, hydrating and protective – face, hands, feet, legs – burns, cuts – it worked on everything!

Of course, I had to develop an oil which could be used to cleanse, moisturise, remove eye makeup and deal with frizzy hair!

My daughters 26 and 31 tried the products and loved them!

So, off the cream and oil went to any friend who wanted to try them. The feedback was amazing – skin’s looked younger, started to glow, healed, eczema and psoriasis improved.

The feedback was amazing – skin looked younger, started to glow, healed, eczema and psoriasis improved…

And so the everything skin cream and oil was born.

No animal should suffer so that a human can look good.

We do not need chemicals or animal by-products to have beautiful skin.

The everything skin range is for every skin, for all of your skin – not just your face, but all of it.It can be used on every skin from oily/acne and inflamed skin – through to dry and mature skins.

Why? Because it works differently than most products. It heals the skin’s protective layer so that the microbiome can flourish, and the skin can function at its optimal best.

For oily skin – you just use the Everything Skin Cream sparingly, and cleanse with the Everything Skin Oil. For dry skin, you mix it up – you add the Everything Skin Oil to your Everything Skin Cream after you have used the oil to cleanse your skin.

I believe skincare should nourish your body as well as your skin – 90% of what you apply to the surface of your skin enters your blood stream effecting your health

As a beauty blogger & writer

I have written for amazing publications such as  Professional Beauty, a leading industry magazine, whose staff  voted “your articles are the most enlightening, educational and enjoyable of all articles submitted.” I write for a cosmetic surgeon, explaining treatments and how they work, and how to get the best results from them. I also write for other industry specialists – so every day, I learn more and more. I’ve also been commissioned to write training manuals for several skincare companies.

As a beauty therapist

My beauty therapy training was completed at the elite Ella Bache College of Skin and Beauty Therapy, and I was a member of the AABth, a membership which was acquired through a rigorous exam until the organization closed down. My studies did not end there, I continued my studies for many years doing short courses to make sure my beauty and health knowledge became very well rounded.

I also train other therapists in speciality workshops and seminars. I have also designed facial treatments and written up treatment manuals.

As a makeup artist

I qualified from the prestigious Sydney College of Makeup Art, after having already worked for Revlon for 2 years as their makeup artist for TV shows, events and representing Revlon at June Dally-Watkins teaching makeup and skincare. I work in film, commercial photography and film, corporate photography and film, fashion, fashion parades and bridal makeup, as well as training up and coming makeup artists.

As a product developer

I understand what goes into a product, and why some things just should not be in your cream.

As a holistic facialist

I constantly research skincare products, internal health solutions, and anything to do with anti-ageing so that I can write my blog with great confidence, knowing that my information is well-grounded and truthful.

As a nutritionist

Food as medicine is my ultimate obsession – I love how by changing your diet you can improve your skin, health and mental health!

Join my friends in finding out all about how to live a long and healthy life, looking absolutely gorgeous! Make sure you check out the blog & please feel free to comment and ask me questions.

And make sure you go for a wander through my shop & treat your skin.
